Surviving Your First Meeting

The Greater Lewisville Early Childhood PTA (GLECPTA) meets the second Monday of every month from 9:00 – 11:00 am at Flower Mound United Methodist Church located on the corner of Bruton Orand and 1171. Our next meeting will be October 15th.

Here’s how it works:

•  Register your child(ren) for the nursery beginning one week prior to the general meeting. Nursery reservations can be made by sending an email to lecptareservations@yahoo.com. Please include in your e-mail the following information: your name, child’s name, child’s birthdate (month/day/year), and your phone number.
  
• Enter the church through the doors facing Bruton Orand on the right. Once entering the church you will see tables set-up for nursery registration.
  
• You can check your child(ren) into the nursery beginning at 9:00 am. Please have a check (made payable to GLECPTA) or correct change ready. Nursery fees are $5 per child. You will receive a room assignment for your child(ren) and a nametag for them to wear, a sticker for their bag and one for you.
  
• Take your child to his room and sign him in. When your child is settled in, head down the hall towards the sanctuary.

• If you are new to GLECPTA, please stop by the membership table to introduce yourself and fill out a visitor information sheet or a membership form.

• If you are a returning member or wish to join, please drop off your 2007-2008 completed membership form and $25 dues (cash – exact change or check made payable to GLECPTA). A copy of the membership form is in the newsletter and on the web and will also be available at the meeting.
  
• From 9:00 – 9:30, get a snack at the hospitality area and check out the tables around the room. You can find out about the different groups that make up the PTA. Volunteering is a great way to meet other members.
  
• The general meeting starts at 9:30 in the sanctuary and the program begins at 10:00.
