A Message from 2nd Vice President, Membership - Allison Lassahn
Right now is a great time to join the GLECPTA! If you were at the March meeting, you know that we voted to raise our dues from $25 a year to $30. This new rate will be in effect as soon as Texas PTA approves the changes. Since the March 15th deadline for membership has passed, if you join the PTA now, your membership will be paid through October 2009! So if you know someone who would enjoy being a part of the GLECPTA, let me know and I will send them a newsletter. Copies of the membership form are available on the GLECPTA website (www.glecpta.com). Dues are $25 right now and can be mailed to the following address:

The $25 membership dues that you pay annually provides numerous benefits. First and foremost, the dues supplement many of the activities and parties we participate in throughout the year. For example, regular child admission to Casa Manana is $17 but with our group rate and PTA supplement we only charged $3.50 per child. Remember, you must be a GLECPTA member to enjoy the cost savings. Unfortunately our organization is not set-up to supplement friends and family who are not GLECPTA members. They're welcome to join us, but please understand that they will need to purchase their tickets separately. And in the case of reserved seating, we cannot guarantee the location of their seats in proximity to ours. Membership dues and fundraising efforts also help offset costs such as: |
